Location Matters

In December I started working for Marcos pizza in my local city, great location , right off of a main street, easy to find and close to everythign else. a few months later another one opened up in a town not to far away, we thought they would have amazing business because its in a college town, college kids love pizza. The problem with this marcos is that the location is wayyy out of the way. Being a college student sometimes we want good food when we do have the money and its convenient for friends to go in on a pizza or two but transportation isnt always an option. So with the Marcos at the location that its currently in not only are people not able to get to it but they are so far away from everything most people dont even realize that its one even there. So with that being said business is slow, slow business seems to bring the quality of the stores production down, a lot of review talks about how old the stuff tastes so that makes me wonder about the quality. Going back to the store i worked for we had a truck coming weekly sometimes an emergency truck because we would end up selling out of things quicker than expected. Location matters, you have to be convenient for your target customer base.
